Wilma Lee's Newest Skipper

Welcome aboard, Captain Bill Schneider! AMM is excited to have Captain Bill join Captain Rick this season as they sail guests aboard the beautiful, historic vessel, Wilma Lee. Bill and his wife Susan moved to Eastport from Columbia, MD four years ago. You may know them through their community advocacy or perhaps, for their doggie treat can on Burnside Street. Now, you’ll get to know Bill as the second Captain of the Wilma Lee.

Bill has been a dedicated volunteer aboard Wilma Lee for three years, first as a docent, then as a crew member, and now as a skipper since earning his U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariners credential this Spring. Bill’s passion for sailing began in 1988 when he began crewing in the Round Bay Sailing Association’s Wednesday night races. Since then, Bill and Susan have enjoyed the Chesapeake Bay aboard cruisers and daysailers.

Come out with Bill aboard the Wilma Lee to enjoy a gentle sailing experience and greet the newest skipper of our historic skipjack!
