WILMA LEE FEATURED IN THE CAPITAL

As the schooners raced down the Chesapeake, our Wilma Lee crew members, volunteers and passengers watched the action during the watch party on Thursday.

Captured in The Capital, is stalwart volunteer Maille Lyons and below Jenifer Smith. Both are dedicated crew members and volunteers aboard the Wilma Lee. We rely on volunteer crew for every sail to ensure we embark off the dock every day!

The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race was founded to promote public awareness of the Chesapeake Bay’s maritime heritage and encourage the preservation and improvement of the Chesapeake’s natural resources. They accomplish this goal by presenting educational programs and supporting regional organizations that share this vision.
