Sherry Blanton Presents: "Let's do it Right: Advice on the Proper Way to Prune" - April 4th at 2 PM

Feeling creative? Learn all about the creative technology we offer here at The Library of Things. Enjoy a hands on demonstration of our most popular items like our green screen kit, 360 degree camera and Go Pro, as well as others. (3 Rewards)

The American Red Cross Blood Drive - April 14th from 10 AM - 3 PM
Join the American Red Cross and The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County for a blood drive!  You can pre-register for your donation slot by going to redcross.org/donate and entering zip code 36201.  Select "The Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County" as your location.

Dan Carter Presents: "The Double Life of Asa and Forrest Carter" - April 18th at 2 PM
Author Dan T. Carter (no relation) uncovered "Forrest" Carter’s true identity while researching his biography of George Wallace and exposed Carter's deception in a New York Times op-ed. In 2018 he gained access to more than two hundred interviews by the late Anniston newsman, Fred Burger. These recordings and his two decades of exhaustive research finally brought Asa Carter’s story into focus. Unmasking the Klansman is the result. Copies of Dan Carters book are available now for purchase for $20.00 from the Main Circulation Desk (retail price $28.95).

Join us for our FDIC Money Smart financial literacy program!  This month, we will be discussing "Protecting Your Money and Your Identity".

Free Computer Classes - Every Tuesday at 9 AM
Join us at the Carver Branch Library for FREE computer classes!  To see what classes will be offered each month, be sure to check out our calendar at publiclibrary.cc/class.
The Carver Branch Library is located at 722 W 14th St, Anniston AL.

Model City Chess Club - April 15th at 1:30 PM
Meets the 3rd Saturday of each month. For all ages, beginner to advanced. FREE and open to the public.

Anime Club - April 13th at 4 PM
Come to the Ayers Room to watch a new anime title and enjoy Japanese snacks and prizes every month!  This month we will be watching YuYu Hakusho

D&D Day at the Library - April 8th at 1 PM
Join us at the Library for D&D and pizza.  All skill levels welcome!

FDIC Financial Literacy for All Ages - April 19th at 3:30 PM
Join us for our FDIC Money Smart financial literacy program!  This month, we will be discussing "Protecting your Money and Your Identity"

Teen After Hours Egg Hunt - April 20th at 7 PM
Teens - Come hunt glow in the dark eggs and rack up on candy at the Library!

Game Night - April 27th at 6 PM
Virtual Reality, (VR users must be 13+), board games, card games, party games! You name it; we'll be playing it. Bring your friends or make some new ones!

Homeschooler Computer Class - No Class In April - Will Resume May 5th at 11 AM

Learn how to do everything from spreadsheets and resume writing to coding and creating graphics. Held at the Carver Branch Library. 722 W 14th St, Anniston

Homeschooler Art Class - April 21st at 11 AM
Learn about famous artists, movements, styles and mediums and then create works of art yourself! Ages 13+

April Teen Take and Make Crafts
This month for our teen take & makes we will be making Cloud Lamps and Magnetic Poetry!  Offered to teens only.  One craft per teen please.  Pick up in the YA Department.

Lego League,  April 12th at 3:30 PM
Come build Lego challenges and win door prizes in the Children's Department!  Held every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3:30 PM

Sensory Storytime, Tuesdays at 10 AM
Come back to the library and join us for Storytime every Tuesday at 10 am in the Ayer's Room! This will be a socially distanced story time with a craft. A recording of the story will be made available on Facebook.

Pick-Up Craft, Weekly in April
Each week a new craft will be available. You can pick up a kit in the Children's Department.

Easter Egg Hunt - All April Throughout the month of April, there will be Easter eggs hiding in the children's department. If you find one, turn it into the Children's Department librarian to collect an egg with a surprise inside!

Children's Garden Program April 6th at 4 PM
Throughout the month of March there will be Leprechauns hiding in the Children's Department.  If you find one, turn it into the Children's Department Librarian to collect your piece of gold (covered chocolate).  Limit one per day per child.

Princess Storytime April 11 at 10 AM
Join us for a very special Princess themed Sensory Storytime, with a special Princess guest!

May the Fourth be With YouApril 17 - May 3
Enter to win a Star Wars backpack full of Star Wars goodies by stopping by the desk in the children's department and saying the phrase "May the Force be with you." The drawing will be done on May 4th. (For children aged 12 and under.)
