Sherry Blanton Presents : "Why Did I Die?", October 4th at 2 PM
Every gardener loses a plant at some time.  Sometimes the reason is obvious; sometimes it is not.  Learn the causes as to why plants die or do not do well and some tips to keep them healthy.

Join the Model City Chess Club at the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County.  All skill levels and all ages welcome.  (Meets the third Saturday of every month)

Teen/Young Adult Service

Anime Club : Death Note, October 13th at 4 PM
Come to the Ayers Room to watch a new anime title and enjoy Japanese snacks and prizes every month!  This month we will be watching Yona of the Dawn

D&D Day at the Library,  October 8th at 1:00 PM
Join us for D&D here at the Library!  Bring your character sheet, make some new friends and enjoy some pizza.  If you are bringing your own character, we request that you scale your character back to the appropriate level so that all may play together (we are currently level 2-3).     

Financial Literacy by FDIC, October 19th at 3:30 PM
Join us for a special 8 part program by FDIC for teens in grades 11-12.  Learn all about financial literacy, how to manage money and save.  Our second module will be "Check it Out" - Opening and maintaining your first checking and debit account.

Cosplayers Ball, October 20th at 6 PM
Join us for a cosplay contest, food, dancing, prizes and MORE!

Homeschooler Computer Class,  October 7th at 11:00 AM
Stop by the Carver Branch Library for Homeschoolers Computer Class!  Learn things such as creating spreadsheets, resumes, basic coding and beginners graphic design.  

Homeschoolers Art Class,  October 21st at 11 AM 
Learn about famous artists, movements, styles and mediums and then create works of art yourself! Ages 13+

Game Night, October 27th at 6 PM
Virtual Reality, (VR users must be 13+), board games, card games, party games! You name it; we'll be playing it. Bring your friends or make some new ones!

Children Services

Lego League,  October 12th at 3:30 PM
Come build with LEGO bricks in the Children's Department!

Sensory Storytime, Tuesdays at 10 AM
Come back to the library and join us for Storytime every Tuesday at 10 am in the Ayer's Room! This will be a socially distanced story time with a craft. A recording of the story will be made available on Facebook.

Pick-Up Craft, Weekly in October
Each week a new craft will be available. You can pick up a kit in the Children's Department.

Mad Science Experiments,  October 10th at 4:00 PM
Listen to a story, do a craft and do hands-on science experiments!

Kids Mini Pumpkin Painting, October 26th at 4:00 PM
Join us in the Children's Department as we paint mini-pumpkins!
