Hey there, Topeka!

Long emails aren't usually this fun....so buckle up! This weekend is very special because you'll have an opportunity to join in the celebration of Juneteenth with a full day of activities including live music, poetry and more during the 10th Annual Topeka Friends & Family Juneteenth Celebration at Hillcrest Community Center AND the statewide Juneteenth celebration at the Statehouse, featuring a day of activities and a drop in car show starting at 6p. Tomorrow night, be sure to check out the Sunshine Reggae Roots Festival featuring dance hall DJs, reggae and much more. As if that wasn't enough, tonight marks the start of the Sunflower Music Festival, one of the premier chamber music concert series in the country.

You might like to go get your laugh on with Brad Upton at the Jayhawk Theatre, but last time we checked it was almost sold out, so you better move fast! (And after all of that excitement - we haven't even told you about how Typical Stereo is playing at Happy Basset!)

As we hope that you know by now, you can find these events and more on the calendar of events on the ArtsConnect website as well as on the ArtsConnect Facebook page. Next time you're looking for something to do, be sure to check it out. (Have an event that you'd like to see on the calendar? Just send us a note and we'll get it added!)

Have fun out there, Top City!
