Ashland Strongman Competition

1-5pm on Main Street by Huhn Drug.

A Strongman contest doesn’t look like a regular powerlifting contest.  Instead, the Strongman consists of odd-object lifts which are designed to push the Strongmen to their limits, challenging their strength, agility, endurance and mental toughness.

The Bay Days Strongman will have two divisions this year - the Strongman elite competitors and a novice division for athletes who haven't competed in a Strongman contest before or who may want to use somewhat lighter weights than the elite competitors.  Events will likely be an overhead sandbag press, Atlas Stones, Farmer's Walk, Deadlift, Tire Flip and the Loading finale, but they may be subject to change.

The entry fee is $35 per person. Each competitor will receive a Strongman T-shirt, and the top 3 winners in each division will receive awards. If you'd like more information about the contest in general or about some event specifics, please call Sue at 715-492-9585. Registration for the contest is on Saturday, July 15 starting at noon. The Strongman contest begins at 1pm. Hope to see you there competing or cheering on the competitors.
