Takashi Murakami: Unfamiliar People — Swelling of Monsterized Human Ego

Opens Friday, Sep 15

Takashi Murakami’s first solo exhibition in San Francisco, hailed by the San Francisco Chronicle as “exuberant,” opens September 15! See more than 75 works — including the premiere of more than a dozen new creations — featuring the artist’s signature combination of fun, spectacle, and playful social commentary. In vibrantly colored, larger-than-life paintings and sculptures, Murakami uses monsters to embody the hopes and fears of the digital age.
