Funding Available: Prepare To Apply!

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC) is excited to announce that we will soon be opening up grant applications to cultural organizations in Barnstable County that have been impacted by Covid-19.

The AFCC has a total of $139,000 available to distribute, thanks to funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Grants will range from a minimum of $4,000 to a maximum of $20,000.

Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations in Barnstable County that have an arts- and/or culture-based mission.

The online application will open on Wednesday, June 1st on the AFCC's website. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, July 15. In order to apply, organizations will need to have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), a requirement for receipt of federal funds. Details on obtaining a UEI can be found by clicking the button below.

Applicants should note that these are not project grants. This is also not a matching grant.

Funds can be used to assist local arts organizations with the following costs:

- Salary support (full or partial) for one or more staff positions.

- Facilities costs, such as mortgage (principal only), rent, and utilities.

- Costs associated with health and safety supplies for staff and/or patrons (e.g. personal protective equipment, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, etc.).

- Marketing and promotion costs.

Cultural organizations must not use funding by any other federal agency to cover these costs during the grant period (September 1, 2022-September 1, 2023).
