Monday Morning Stories and Songs
Mondays at 10:00 am outdoors
Join us for a high-energy story time! We’ll mix things up with a combination of stories for listening and songs for dancing. This program will be held outside on the library lawn. Bring a towel or blanket for stretching. Look for us around back! If there is rainy weather, the story time will be moved indoors.
Tuesdays at 10:00 am outdoors & indoors
Here’s a chance for the little ones to learn their A-B-C’s. We’ll start outside with stories and songs that feature our letter of the week. Then we’ll head inside for some simple crafts with the special letter. Feel free to join for part or all of the story time. Be sure to bring a blanket or chair for outside. Also, each child can bring something with them that starts with the letter of the week – we’ll do a mini show & tell along with stories. This week's letter is A.
Thursday, September 8 at 11:00 am on Zoom
Join us for a virtual discussion of Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell. Copies available at the library, or borrow digitally. Please email [email protected] to register and receive the Zoom link.
Friday, September 9 at 10:00 am outdoors
Lorcan and his human Cheryl are back for a fun and furry story time! Join us out on the lawn for some dog-approved stories and a chance to pet this calm, sweet, and soft therapy dog.

Stranger Things Trivia Challenge
Wednesday, September 28 at 7:00 pm on Zoom
With the release of season 4 earlier this summer, we can’t get enough of El, Dustin, Nancy, Hopper, and the rest of the gutsy clan from Hawkins. If you feel the same, join us for this trivia game that will test your knowledge of all things strange. Warning: be sure you’ve watched it all, there will be spoilers! This trivia challenge will be held via Zoom. You can be a team of one or a team of many (please choose teammates in your home, or pick 1 or 2 remote teammates that you can easily confer with privately over text or phone). Please visit our website to register.
Stop by the BFL grounds to check out our latest Story Walk: Frog on a Log? by Kes Gray and Jim Field. Read the book one page at a time on the library grounds.
The StoryWalk®Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Visit the library to view the work of Natick artist and children’s book illustrator Rob Dunlavey, who will be showing landscape drawings and paintings at the BFL through September 28.
