Last week, the Ohio Department of Education released report card information on the state’s public school districts. Bay Village City School District continues to be one of the highest performing districts in Ohio, ranking #16 in the state with a Performance Index Score (PIS) of 104.9, up from 102.4 last year. I am proud of the hard work our students, faculty and staff have accomplished to keep academic excellence in our district.

Bay Village Schools received the highest possible rating of 5 stars for Student Achievement, Gap Closing and Graduation, which indicates significant evidence that the district exceeded student growth expectations. Bay High School itself received a comprehensive 5-star rating, an achievement we are all especially proud of.

Like many other districts, Bay Village Schools has been negatively impacted by the pandemic, and our goal is to return to normalcy, celebrate our successes in the latest state report card, and work hard to attain 5-star ratings in every category.
