CFMA Cajun Jam

Every Saturday, 1-3 PM, join us for the CFMA Cajun Jam -- free music from the masters of the genre. Bring your instrument and sit in, or just come and dance!

Le Bal du Dimanche

Come dance at Vermilionville! Bayou Vermilion District & Vermilionville host live music, EVERY SUNDAY from 1-4 p.m. THIS SUNDAY, GERARD DELAFOSE & THE ZYDECO GATORS.  Admission is only $10, FREE for Vermilionville members, and includes a self-guided tour of the living history museum. AND -- THIS IS NEW -- if you attend the Zydeco Dance Lessons at 11 AM at Wildcat Brothers Distillery in Gator Cove, show your wristband in the Visitors Center for $2 off admission! Learn the moves, then come to Vermilionville to show 'em off!!

Come early and grab lunch at Vermilionville’s restaurant -- open from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and features an all-you-can-eat buffet on Sundays. Les Vues Free Film Series

This month's selection for Les Vues is "Good for What Ails You: Secrets of the Bayou Healers." This documentary chronicles the history of traiteurs, or healers in our area.

After the film, Colby Hébert, the Cajun Hatter and a healer himself, will speak on his journey to preserve and enhance these traditions.

Family Francophone Day this Saturday!

Parlez-vous Français? Even if you answer 'un peu', you'll have fun at our Family Francophone Day, Saturday, March 18 10 AM - 4 PM! There'll be great opportunities for your family to practice your French, expand your vocabulaire, and immerse yourself in everything French.

We'll show French films, play Pétanque and other jeux Français. There will be French tours of the village, extended French Tables (including Pictionary in French!) and more! Enjoy cooking demonstrations and craft sessions in French.
