Bellevue Iowa Annual Heritage Days Celebration (Bellevue, IA’s 4th of July Celebration)

The Bellevue Heritage Days Celebration is an annual event which brings families and friends together to celebrate the Fourth of July.

60th Annual Bellevue Heritage Days Celebration in Bellevue, Iowa.

Come celebrate the 4th in Bellevue!

Friday, July 1, 2022

8:00-11:00pm: Music, Brown Bottle Bandits (Badfish) at Off Shore Event Center.

Saturday, July 2, 2022

Activities at Cole Park

5:30pm-12:30am: Live music in refreshment garden: Sushi Roll (5:30-8pm), Love Monkeys (9pm-12:30am); tickets for Chamber's $15,000 cash raffle, 2,000 tickets available; ATM on-site.

8:20-9:00pm: American Legion flag burning.

9:00-11:30pm: Youth dance with prizes, music by Absolute Music.

7:00-11:00pm: Music at the American Legion

4:00pm - 8:00pm: Midwest Inflatables at Cole Park

Baseball Outfield: inflatable obstacle course and giant slide, toddler inflatable, laser tag, and mini golf; $5 HD silicon bracelet or button (good for both days) needed for anyone and any age looking to play. Advance purchases at local businesses or purchase the day of in the refreshment garden.

Parade:

9:15am: Parade lineup at Horizon Lanes parking lot (970 N. Riverview Street). Preregister at City Hall and online; 1st and 2nd place $500/$250 Chamber Bucks (minimum of 10 floats needed for prizes).

10:00am: Parade start time..

Activities at Cole Park

Immediately after parade: Bellevue EMS's 50th ceremony, Grand Marshal and 1st Annual Heritage Days Prince and Princess presentations, 4th Grade Heritage Essay Contest Winners, and Fire Dept flag raise on Park St.

Noon-1:30pm: Dance performances on the basketball courts.

Noon-2:00pm: Pedal tractor pull on Park Street; ages 4-12, registration and wear tennis shoes; cash prizes.

Noon-5:00pm: BINGO, Ron Moraga Caricatures, free swim, food and beverages, showdown, concessions, and Chamber's $15,000 cash raffle tickets..

Noon: Car and Tractor Show, "blow up a car" with 50/50 chances (along 6th Street).

Noon-5:00pm: Chainsaw carvings in baseball left field and 5pm auction of carvings in refreshment garden.

Noon-8:00pm: Music in refreshment garden: Jeff Theisen (Noon-2:30pm), Tan and Jae (2:30-5:00pm), Standing Hampton (5:00-8:00pm); ATM on-site.

1:00-4:30pm: Havens Petting Farm; pony rides from 2-4pm (button/silicon bracelet needed).

3:00pm: Miller Cornhole Boards Bags tournament in the refreshment garden, $40/team competitive tourney and $20/team social tourney; cash prizes top 3 teams for each tourney.

4:00pm - 8:00pm: Midwest Inflatables at Cole Park

Activities on South Riverview

4:00pm: Outdoor music at Lock 12, outdoor music: Pat Kettmann (4-6pm) and Acoustic Dogs (7:30-11:30pm).

5:00pm: Food and refreshments vendors.

5:30-8:00pm: BBQ Cookoff judging and tasting; 4 categories (pork shoulder, pork rib, chicken and open); tasting $10 for 10 tickets; 5:30 judging and sampling begins; 8:00 winners announced on Lock 12 outdoor stage.

6:00pm: Ski show.
Chamber $15,000/$3,000/$1,000 cash drawings, 2,000 tickets available: tickets for sale winners drawn immediately before fireworks.

Fireworks:

Fireworks at dusk in the municipal parking lot; Conducted by Bellevue (volunteer) Fire Department.

Fireworks are paid for by proceeds from Heritage Days button/silicone bracelet sales, business donations, and public donations collection before the fireworks display.

Rain Date: Monday, 7/4.
