Rhythm Exhibition

Submissions due March 15 at Midnight

Opening Reception: Saturday, March 25, 3:00-5:00pm

Rhythm can be a dancer, and our soul's companion. If you only observe, you can see, hear and feel rhythm everywhere . . .

Rhythm, usually achieved through repetition of lines, shapes, colors, and more, creates a visual tempo in artworks and provides a path for the viewer's eye to follow. But don’t let that limit you! All forms of art can be submitted; lyrics, short story, poetry, etc.

Written word should be typed or neatly written and mounted or framed for hanging like a piece of art.

ART and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Date: February 28

Time:? 7:00pm on Zoom

The generation of images by AI (Artificial Intelligence) programs has become a controversial topic in the art world. In this workshop we will explore the world of AI by first discussing how AI images are generated, why there are not copyright issues with them, and why there is a fear of them in some communities.

We will generate some AI images using a text prompt template (a kind of Mad Libs for art!) that lets you evoke your favorite art styles and any content you can imagine. Then we will discuss what you can do with these images (paint, draw, collage, stitch, sculpt) rather than accept them as finished art.

The workshop will be online with each participant using an account they set up at the DALL·E platform (instructions will be given after you register).
