This month, Chapter Leader Kevin Spyker will dive into some perilous rabbit holes, and offer advice on how to be as discerning with the information we consume as we are with our food choices. What we feed our mind is just as crucial as what we feed our body, yet we often find ourselves in a fog of uncertainty and distrust with the info overload of these tech-driven times!

Musicians on a Mission will host the MONEY, CASH, and DOUGH - OPEN MIC & FOOD DRIVE

11:30am - 4:00pm

Admission is $5 donation at the door or $3 with two non-perishable food donations.

On Sunday, April 28th, Musicians on a Mission will host the MONEY, CASH, and DOUGH - OPEN MIC & FOOD DRIVE.

Guest hosts will be Kevin Spyker & Jen Clemens

Kevin and Jen have chosen a great theme - “Money, Cash and Dough” for this month’s open mic, which means you should do at least TWO songs that have to do with the theme, plus one more song (cover or original). This means that you will sing at least two songs that have to do with money. I’d love to hear someone tackle, Money Changes Everything by Cyndi Lauper or the Flying Lizards’ version of Money (That’s What I Want). Maybe try, Silver Threads and Golden Needles or Material Girl or Take the Money and Run by the Steve Miller Band. You decide on three good songs and we'll listen. Just keep it at 12 minutes or under!

There will be a grand finale song, “Heart of Gold” by the Neil Young for everyone to share at the end of the event. Support for other performers is a priority for MOAM, so please show up early and stay late to sing the finale with everyone.

Admission is $5 donation at the door or $3 with two non-perishable food donations. Proceeds to benefit FULFILL - the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and the Belmar Arts Center. http:/fulfillnj.org/ https://www.belmararts.org/

Sign-ups for this event will be done online. The link for the sign-up will be posted on the Musicians on a Mission Facebook event page a week before the open mic. Be on the lookout for it!   https://www.facebook.com/musiciansonamission

You do NOT need to be a member of MOAM to sign up for this open mic. However, we offer sign-ups online to our MOAM members first. If you would like to become a MOAM member, go to: www.musiciansonamission.org to sign up. It’s only $20 a year and you would be helping MOAM make a difference through music.

Fresh coffee, soda, water and snacks will be available for a minimal charge at the show or bring something for yourself.
