There will be live music performed by Matthew E. Trice
Matthew E Trice is a saxophonist, arranger, and composer from Belmar, New Jersey. Trice started professionally playing experimental contemporary music in New Jersey with the band We Used to Cut the Grass. He then moved to Minnesota to graduate from McNally Smith College of Music, under the mentorship of Pete Whitman. Trice has toured the U.S. and has played in venues in Minneapolis, New York City, Chicago, Denver, Wisconsin, Iowa, Vermont, Pennsylvania, and Nebraska.
Enjoy different renditions of pop tunes from Stevie Wonder to the Greatful Dead, jazz standards, and improvisations.
The New Belmar Open Mic Night
June 25th 7-10pm at the BAC
Whether you play guitar or sitar, sing or rap, whether you play soul, rock, or hip hop , the stage is open for you. The open mic is designed to include performers from all different backgrounds and different ages. All are welcome and no need to be a member. One can play songs from any genre or style and original music is definitely encouraged. Performers will sign in at arrival and be all set to perform, first come first serve. We want to get everyone who signs up a chance to do their thing. Hosted by Matthew Trice, let's come together in these times to share our stories and our music.

?Explore Watercolor Painting

Susanna Anastasia comes to Belmar Arts having spent 30 plus years teaching the basics of watercolor painting.
Students will begin to explore the mechanics of this medium along with the properties of paint, paper and water.
Beginner Gourds

Mosaic Workshop with Linda Baran
Space is limited. Sign up early!
Express yourself through mosaic art.
This workshop is the perfect introduction to creating your own mosaics.
No experience necessary.
We will cover:
-Basics of scoring and breaking tile and mirror.
-Free form design layout and tile application.
-Grout coloring, mixing and application.
Cartooning Lessons for Kids

Students will watch a short presentation where they will be shown some nuts & bolts of making comics. The instructor will walk students through designing their own original characters then he will help students write and draw short diary comics based on things that have happened in their own lives.
Shared Interest Groups
All groups are facilitated by a BAC member volunteer and meetings are free for BAC members. Guests are warmly welcomed for any two meetings but after that an up to date membership is required.

Art For Sea

Mini-beach sweep. Bring your own small bucket and sifting tool if you have one. We will collect micro plastics to be used in art at the July meeting to be held on Tuesday July 12 at 6:00 pm at the Belmar Arts Center.
Following the mini-beach sweep, we will go for a bite to eat at a local eatery.

Drew Leventhal, a member of BAC, a frequent exhibitor, and an exhibit installer has received an MFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Drew’s RISD project involved photographing the communities around the Mason-Dixon line.
