Santa at the Firehouse and Toy Drive

You are invited to join us on Thursday, December 8th, from 5:30pm - 8:30pm, for a night full of fun and holiday cheer at our annual Santa at the Firehouse and Toy Drive event! Held at Belmont Fire Station #14 - 911 Granada Street. This event is open to all ages! No registration required.

Please bring at least one unwrapped toy for a child in need for entry.

Fire Safety Presentation

Join the San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:30pm for a free presentation featuring concrete information on how to increase your safety and improve your property's chances of surviving a fire. Register here.

Letters to Santa

This holiday season, kids can have fun practicing their writing and mailing skills by sending a letter to Santa at the North Pole! Letters must be dropped off or mailed to Santa’s mailbox at 30 Twin Pines Lane by December 9th to get a free personalized response back from Santa himself! More information

Senior Center Extended December Hours

This year, the Twin Pines Senior and Community Center will remain open until Thursday, December 22nd. Join us for lunch, a movie, or just drop into the center for the various programs and activities.

Holiday Office Closure

The Parks and Recreation office will be closed Monday, December 26th through Monday, January 2nd. The office will be back open Tuesday, January 3rd at 8am. For urgent matters during this time, please contact the Belmont Police Department at 650-595-7400 or 911.

Inaugural Martin Luther King Jr. Poetry & Essay Contest 

Coming January 2023, celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in our poetry and essay contest. This contest is open for Belmont-Redwood Shores School District youth in 3rd - 12th grade. Students may submit either a poem or essay based on one of Dr. Kings inspirational quotes, reflecting through personal experience and their role in building a stronger community to creatively answer "where does change begin?".

Submissions will be accepted from January 2, 2023 - February 1, 2023. Please go to the contest page for more information.

Sweetheart Dance Registration Open

Join the Belmont Parks and Recreation Department on Friday, February 10th as we host our annual Sweetheart Dance for children ages 5-12 and their adult guardian. This semi-formal night of fun includes a live DJ, dancing, a photo booth, crafts, refreshments, and a real-life princess!
