Governor Newsom Holds Special Legislative Session To Address Gas Prices

On December 5th, Governor Newsom announced a special legislative session that would focus on California's “unexplained gas price increases”. The session will focus on holding oil companies accountable. Over the past several months Governor Newsom has raised the possibility that oil companies in California have been price-gouging consumers. Oil company executives replied to the summit stating that the session would lead to another tax hike on oil. The Democrats hold a supermajority in the state legislature. Any proposed tax increase, however, would need to be approved by the people through a ballot measure.

Join Beverly Hills Fire Department for Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training 12.6.22 from 8 AM - 5 PM. 
The CERT Basic Course for businesses is delivered by a team of BHFD personnel and certified instructors providing the foundational training and basic skills that are important to know when emergency services are not available. You can make a difference by using this training to save lives and protect property in different disasters like earthquakes, fires, terrorism, hazardous incidents, and other life-threatening situations.
