Beverly Hills Doggy Daze 90210 is an exciting, day-long festival for dogs and their owners. It is also a day to provide homeless pets with loving owners. The Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board invites Chamber members to participate in this conference organized by Shanghai Los Angeles Business Office and Sino - America Business Development Company and supported by the City of Los Angeles International Trade Office, Port of Los Angeles Trade Connect, Chinese Consulate, Shanghai Business Office LA, Bank of China, SBA and others, taking place on Thursday 9.21 in Downtown Los Angeles.

The goal is to promote China Export and Import Business via the two largest trade fairs there: CIIE and Canton Fair. A business delegation will be formed to participate in these fairs. After 4 years hiatus, Canton Fair is back stronger than ever and CIIE (China International Import Expo) continues to attract thousands of International companies to open markets and sell their products in China.

Court Rules Against Beverly Hills in Housing Element Case

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ruled on September 11th that the City of Beverly Hills has not been able to fulfill its legal responsibility to meet the state's ambitious housing goals. Californians for Homeownership (CFH), a nonprofit organization sponsored by the California Association of Realtors, brought the lawsuit.

The City of Beverly Hills, like all other cities in California, is required to submit a housing element plan to the California Department of Housing & Community Development (HCD) outlining how it will create capacity for a state mandated number of new housing units by 2029.

The City of Beverly Hills under the ruling will not have to work in the coming years to abide by the state’s housing mandate. To read more, click here.
