19-year-old Irena Gut is promoted to housekeeper in the home of a highly respected Nazi officer in Poland when she finds out that the Jewish ghetto is about to be liquidated. Determined to help 12 Jewish workers, she decides to shelter them in the safest place she can think of – the basement of the German Major's house. Over the next eight months, Irena uses her wit, humour and immense courage to hide her friends as long as possible.

Multiracial and multiethnic Jews have a long and rich history globally, and here in Ontario. Yet within our own Jewish community, there exists a lack of understanding of our ethnically diverse Jewish world. Through an exhibition of commissioned portraiture accompanied by a newly produced documentary film, No Silence on Race, in partnership with the Ontario Jewish Archives, explores the lives of multiracial and multiethnic Jews within the community. The project broadens our concept of Jewish identity that has historically privileged Ashkenazi Jewish culture and presents a call to action to the Canadian Jewish community about the need for greater education on Jewish ethnic diversity within the Jewish world both in Ontario and nationally.

Orit Ziv and her "Pink Lionesses", a unique women sports group, consisting of breast cancer survivors, that paddle on Dragon Boats, on the Sea of Galilee in Northern Israel. Their common goal is to recover, recuperate and combat their cancer. They have chosen optimism, action, caring for themselves despite the intense difficulties and fear they must rise from. "Getting up in the morning and going to practice, knowing that the disease was a surprise in the first round, I'm responsible for trying to make sure it does not return ..." About 200 women, between the ages of 29-79, from all walks of life, background and religions, are Pink Lionesses.

A traumatic memory from Holocaust survivor takes a young schoolgirl on an inner journey.

Hatzil, a young army veteran with PTSD, and his two friends, Elad and Yachta, travel to the Golan heights and find themself STUCK in a minefield. With no reception in their phones, in the middle of nowhere, the three try different ways to leave the minefield.

Minkush, a young ultra-Orthodox Hasidic woman, struggles to reconcile conflicting desires, hoping to win her husband's physical affection in a battle of love versus religious law.

"I See You" paints a poignant portrait of Danny Layani, who, after 25 years of total blindness, regains his sight and sees his wife and four children for the very first time. However, the newfound light in Danny's life begins to dim, taking a sharp turn. Four years ago a peacock suddenly landed and has settled ever since in the grounds of a Leeds synagogue. Whimsical and charming, the film explores the responses of a diverse section of that Yorkshire community.

Iftah Ben David's grief leads him on a journey, fighting for proper commemoration and preservation, from Tel Aviv and across the country.

Amit Shahar collects old buses. He grew up in Hatzeva and when his parents divorced, he left with his mother. As a child, he traveled by bus to visit his father. Collecting buses symbolize a complex, magical period that shaped him to be the man he is today.

A poignant film about two Holocaust survivors who were miraculously reunited after 80 years, and are now spending the precious time they have left rekindling their friendship and teaching others about the dangers of hatred.

A group of Israeli teens embark on a trip to Poland and the concentration camps for an up-close lesson on the blood-soaked history of WWII. It is there, supposedly in the wrong place and time, that love blossoms between two young people: Shani, a cynical, distant teen who can't tap into the emotions that are surfacing and Kobi, a young Zionist who deems this journey a mission. Despite their differences, they form a bond and prompted by Kobi, Shani sets out on a personal quest in the footsteps of her roots in Ukraine. Ultimately they dodge the group to find out what happened to her family.
