Winter with Cape May MAC
Visit the Lighthouse in winter! Plus, wintertime trolley and Physick Estate tours are running through the new year.

The Cape May Lighthouse

Climb the 199 steps up the original, cast iron spiral stairway to the top of the 1859 Cape May Lighthouse and see a staggering view of the Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean, the surrounding nature trails of Cape May Point State Park, and Cape May Point Borough.

The Cape May Lighthouse is open every day from noon to 4 p.m. until Jan. 1, and then will open on a reduced schedule, Fridays to Mondays from noon to 3 p.m. See more information here.

Historic District Trolley Tour

Known as the “Queen of the Seaside Resorts” for its quaint Victorian cottages and pristine beaches, Cape May is the oldest seaside resort in the country, and in 1976, the entire city was declared a National Historic Landmark. This classic trolley tour — perfect for both newcomers to Cape May and seasoned visitors or locals who want to learn more about Cape May — will run every day until Jan. 1, and then from Fridays to Sundays in the new year. Purchase tickets here.

Emlen Physick Estate House Tour

Take a guided tour of the first and second floors of the 1879 Physick House Museum, for an in-depth look at Victorian architecture and the period, reflecting one Victorian family’s lifestyle. Built in 1879, the 18-room mansion is an architectural wonder built by famed American architect Frank Furness and is one of the best examples of Victorian Stick Style architecture in the country.

This tour will run every day until Jan. 1, and then on Jan. 14 and 28. Purchase tickets here.
