It’s like an open mic, but for movies! Also known as an “Open Projector,” B.Y.O.F. is our most egalitarian event. No submitting, no judges, just movies on a first come, first screened basis.

Bring a USB drive with a film 10 minutes or less and share with the community. We’ll accept films until the 1 hour programming slot is filled.

Ready to get weird with us? By night two, we’re all warmed up. We’ll be showcasing micro-budget wonders of the generally strange variety. Featuring horror, sci-fi, music videos and experimental shorts. If you like Cat Fly Halloween - this screening is for you!

Location: Grail Moviehouse , 17 Foundy St Ste 10, Asheville, NC 28801

Screening: 4:30 pm (Come a little early to grab some movie snacks and a good seat!)

FEATURE SPOTLIGHT: The only feature of the festival. It’s no easy task to go full length with an indie budget. You won’t want to miss admiring this magnificent feat of filmmaking in both awe and envy.

OPENING SHORT: opening for our feature will be the winner of Western Carolina’s student festival, Controlled Chaos! We support young filmmakers and can’t wait to feature this destined-to-be-great film artists’ promising early work.
