Things to Celebrate
Book Sale on the Green
The Friends Book Sale on the Branford Green was a huge success! The sale, which ran September 22-25, made over $63,000. Proceeds from the sale will go to support special events, programs, and furniture at the Blackstone Library. Thank you to the Friends members, who work so hard throughout the year to put on this amazing event. And thank you to everyone who shopped the event!

Friends Quick Picks
Check out the newest special collection at the Blackstone Library — the Friends Quick Picks! These bestseller books are in-demand, and have no holds, no renewals, and a loan period of 2 weeks, to make sure they get into the hands of everyone who wants to read them!

Lawn Games
This summer, the Friends sponsored the newest addition to the Blackstone's Library of Things: lawn games! Enjoy croquet, horseshoes, tumbling tower, and more. A great way to gather with family.

Museum Passes
The Friends sponsor many of our museum passes, which offer discounts to some great area museums — Mystic Seaport, art museums, zoos, and more! Check out the list of passes you can borrow -- some you can even print or have emailed to your device!

Scarecrows on the Green
Come visit the Friends on the Branford Green. Check out the special storytime hosted by the Friends Librarian on the and grab a free children’s book! Visit now through November 1st. Brought to you by the Branford Garden Club.

Town of Branford Trunk or Treat
Come out Saturday, October 29th from 3– 5 pm. The Friends and Blackstone are partnering to provide Halloween Treats for kids 12 and under. Come out and visit the Haunted Library!

Holiday Gift Basket Sale
Get ready for the holidays at the Friends' fantastic Holiday Basket Sale starts Thursday, December 1st, during Sip, Shop & Stroll, and continues through Saturday, December 3rd at the Blackstone Library (rear entrance lobby).

Now collecting items (new or gift quality) for the baskets. Please drop off the circulation desk at the back entrance through November 9th.
