Anna introduces K-9 officer
Last week the Anna Police Department got a special new officer from halfway across the world. K-9 Miki is a 1.5-year-old Belgian Malinois who was born in Poland. She has been trained in narcotics detection and tracking. Her primary duties will be searching for them while working on a patrol shift.

Anna chief named to law enforcement academy board
Anna Police Chief Dean Habel has been added as a non-public board member for the Collin College Law Enforcement Academy. “We have no doubt that our partnership will only continue and expand as the City of Anna continues to grow at an incredible pace," said Academy Director and Chief Administrator Scott Donaldson.

Soccer coaches needed
Our U6-U4 soccer leagues kick off tentatively on Sept. 6. Before we begin, we need more coaches. 

Our coaches are volunteers that combine their love for their children with a sport that teaches cooperation and teamwork. No experience is required; we will provide training before the season starts. For more information or to volunteer, email Leah
