Holiday closures, trash and recycling schedule
City facilities will be closed Monday, Jan. 2 for the New Year's holiday. January 1, 2023 falls on Sunday so trash and recycling collection will not change. Contact CARDS at 877-592-2737 for questions concerning the holiday collection schedule.

Provide a meal to a student in need
We have partnered with Anna ISD for the Coyote Pack food drive benefiting the Food Backpack Project. The program provides food for students on the weekend. We’re collecting donations until Jan. 13 in the Municipal Complex lobby and then will pack the boxes together from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Below is a list of suggested items. Items should be meals that students can prepare themselves.

-Entrees: Ravioli with Meat Sauce, Spaghetti O's with Meatballs, Mac and Cheese bowls, Vienna Sausages, Beef a Roni, Soup (with pull tops), etc.

-Breakfast: Individual cereal, pop tarts, cereal bars, granola bars, nutria-grain bars, individual packs of grits or oatmeal, etc.

-Snacks: Dried or canned fruit, fruit chews, peanut butter crackers, cheese crackers, goldfish, pudding or jello cups, microwave popcorn, applesauce, juice boxes, etc.

Enjoy breakfast with the city manager
You're invited to breakfast on Jan. 13 at 8 a.m. with City Manager Jim Proce. He will share the results of our recent community survey and how the city is working to address the priorities you, Anna neighbors, highlighted in that survey.

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.
Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person – the gift of life. The city has partnered with Carter BloodCare to host a blood drive on Jan. 20. Please RSVP to donate.

CARDS Recycling provides free Christmas tree disposal
Set your tree out on the curb for pick up on your normal pickup day until Friday, Jan. 6. A separate truck will be completing this operation. They will be taken at no additional cost.
