Heart Bombing
Ready to make some valentines? Heart bombing is the act of showering an older or historic place with valentines to show tangible expressions of affection and devotion. In partnership with the Anna Area Historical Preservation Society, we will be creating valentines to heart bomb the Train Depot and Sherley Heritage Building.

Help us make this great by creating a valentine! Attend the creation station tomorrow, Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sherley Heritage Park Train Depot or you can drop off a valentine by Feb. 13 to the Anna Municipal Complex.

North Collin County Neighborhood Conference
Are you an HOA Board Member or a leader in your neighborhood? You need to attend the North Collin County Neighborhood Conference on April 1.

Participants will learn how to better serve their neighborhoods through informative sessions and panel discussions on a range of neighborhood issues including how to run an effective meeting, and legal issues facing today's HOAs.

Hear from our panel of Mayors and HOA leaders about current trends and learn what other communities are doing to build successful neighborhoods. Registration is free, and refreshments and lunch will be provided.

Earth Day
Enjoy the sunshine, get some fresh air, and celebrate Earth Day, April 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Anna Municipal Complex. The event will feature an artisan and food vendor fair, tie dye station, educational booths and more. Enjoy music by Sugar-The Band.

NTMWD prepares for annual water system maintenance
The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) will temporarily change the disinfectant in its water treatment process from March 6 – April 3, 2023. The annual, routine change is necessary to maintain the regional system and year-round water quality. Disinfection is a critical part of the water treatment process that keeps drinking water free of harmful microorganisms, such as parasites and viruses. Individuals sensitive to chlorine may notice a stronger smell or taste for a few weeks. Here are few tips to minimize the chlorine odor, taste or skin sensitivity:

Drinking water

- Run the tap for a few minutes before using

- Refrigerate water in an open pitcher for several hours

- Add a slice of citrus/cucumber and let sit for several hours

Bath or shower water

- Add a crushed 1000 mg vitamin C tablet to bathwater

- Consider installing filters on bathroom faucets or showerheads

For more information, visit the NTMWD website.
