Holiday trash and recycling schedule

When a holiday falls on a weekday, collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, routes will not be affected.

- Christmas 2022 falls on Sunday, Dec. 25 so trash and recycling collection will not change.

- January 1, 2023 falls on Sunday. Routes will not change.

Contact CARDS at 877-592-2737 for questions concerning the holiday collection schedule.

Christmas Tree disposal
CARDS Recycling will provide free Christmas tree disposal. Please set your tree out on the curb for pick-up on your normal pickup day. A separate truck will be completing this operation. They will be taken at no additional cost. Tree collection will occur Monday, Dec. 27, 2022 - Friday, Jan. 7, 2023.

Please contact CARDS with any additional questions at 877-592-2737.

Defend the drain
Ready to start baking? Here’s what you’ll need to keep the holiday cheer flowing: a trashcan. Dumping flour down the drain in excess can cause clogs in pipes. If you are going to dispose of these items, throw them in the trash. Learn more.

Prepare for freezing temperatures
Next week, we will be closing park restrooms at sundown each night to help protect the pipes from the evening low temperatures. This weekend, we will also close the Slayter Creek Park restrooms for maintenance.

Cruising with a Claus success
Thank you for making the first Cruising with a Claus a huge success. Thank you to those who donated, to the businesses who allowed collections boxes, and everyone who helped spread the word. Anna children will be blessed on Christmas morning because of you. Watch video.
