Boots and Booms June 25 
The Summer Concert Series concludes at Boots and Booms this Saturday with ZZ-TEX on June 25. Head over to Slayter Creek Park for a great evening celebrating Independence Day. Activity kits will be distributed for the kids. Neighbors can preregister for the activity kits and pick them up later if they can't attend Boots and Booms. Evening activities begin at 5 p.m. Fireworks will start around 9:30 p.m. There will be plenty of food to choose from like Casa Baluarte, Chosen for Change Bakery, Shonda's Shave Ice, Best Wings in Town, The Blue Brisket, Armadilla Bar-B-Que, Grace Place, Hollis Texas Style BBQ, Hawaii Five-Sno, Crunchies Eggrolls and More, Frios Gourmet Pops, Sugababy Canes, and Luchas Tacos.

Neighbors, please note there is a heat advisory in effect until 7 p.m. tomorrow evening. If you're joining us for our morning Boots & Booms 5K or our evening fireworks, please be sure to stay hydrated and use caution about how much time you spend in the heat.

Parks Bingo ends next week
We're coming up on the home stretch of our Parks Bingo program. Submit your bingo card via the online form to be entered to win a grand prize! Play from May 31-June 29. The deadline to turn in boards is June 30. 
 
How to play:

-Complete an activity on the Bingo card. Take a photo of the different activities you participate in or the places you visit. Save the photos because you'll need to submit them as proof of completion. 

-Create a Bingo by completing 5 activities in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row.

-Receive your verification stamps once you've completed enough activities to earn a bingo and submit all your photo proof at once utilizing our online form

Mighty Ducks is our June Movie in the Park
Join us June 30 for our first Movie in the Park of the summer! We'll be watching Mighty Ducks at Slayter Creek Park. Activities kick off at 6 p.m. and the movie will start at dusk. Please bring lawn chairs or blankets to lay on as this is an outdoor movie night. Sign up on CivicRec.

Crayola Experience comes to Anna 
We're so excited to have the Crayola Experience come to Anna on June 27! This free event will take place from 9-11 a.m. at the Anna High School Makerspace (1107 Rosamond Parkway). Meet Crayola's larger than life Crayon character and bring ideas to life in the Creation Station playing
with all of the latest Crayola products. Make art, snap some photos, and be the star in your own coloring book. Sign up on our website.

Fitness @ the Park now also on Wednesday mornings
Our first monthly Fitness @ the Park event was so popular that we've added a weekly Wednesday option. Join us 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday mornings for Fit for Life with Trina Warrick at Slayter Creek Park. The workouts are free for neighbors to attend. Sign up on our recreation website.

Pop Up Rec events moved to Slayter Creek Park
All of our upcoming Pop Up Rec-ess events have been moved to Slayter Creek Park to allow for additional shade. These events include our Fiesta (June 28th), Dart Painting (July 5th), Farm Day (July 12th), S.T.E.M. Day (July 19th), Teddy Bear Picnic (July 26th), Takin’ it Easy (August 2nd), and Bubble Show (August 9th) events. Registration is required.
