Fitness at the Park Series 
Ready, set, get fit! The City of Anna will be offering free exercise and fitness classes this summer! Join us at Slayter Creek Park every second Saturday of the month from June to August and let's enjoy the park together. Classes run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Class schedule:  

-Trina's Fit Tribe 9-10 a.m. 

-Pound Fitness 10-11 a.m.

-Namaste Fit Yoga 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

Juneteenth Community Block Party 
Neighbors, come out and enjoy Slayter Creek Park on June 19 in celebration of Juneteenth. The event will run from 12-4 p.m. Meet your neighbors, enjoy music, food, games, the splash pad and playground! There will be food vendors and more including Yearby’s BBQ & Waterice, Best Wings in Town, Nola’s Home Cooked Meals, Hollis Texas Style BBQ, Christian Caterers, and Creole Clint. This event is hosted by community members and sponsored by the City of Anna. We look forward to seeing you there! 

Spikeball and Kan Jam summer league registration 
If cornhole or softball wasn't your thing, check out our Spikeball and Kan Jam summer leagues. Join us at Slayter Creek Park this summer for some friendly competition. Both are double header leagues with single elimination tournaments. The winning teams will win a t-shirt, team trophy, and free registration for the next league. 

-Spikeball will run every Thursday from June 23 to July 14 at Slayter Creek Park Fields

-Kan Jam will run every Thursday from July 21 to August 11 at Slayter Creek Park Fields

Emerald City plays June 9 
Enjoy summer evenings in Anna at Slayter Creek Park with free live music and games in a family-friendly atmosphere. There will be plenty of food to choose from like Best Wings in Town, Trini Style Bake ‘n’ Shark & Tings, Luchas Tacos, The Blue Brisket, Crunchies Eggrolls and More, Frios Gourmet Pops, and Kona Ice. Food trucks will be on site starting at 5 p.m. with concert following at 7:30 p.m. View a parking map for the event.

Parks Bingo runs May 31-June 29
Come play Parks Bingo with us this June. Play provides physical, emotional, cognitive, and social benefits. Show us where you play by visiting the many parks and participating in the many activities offered in Anna. 
 
How to play:

-Complete an activity on the Bingo card. Take a photo of the different activities you participate in or the places you visit. Save the photos because you'll need to as proof of completion. 

-Create a Bingo by completing 5 activities in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row.

-Receive your verification stamps in one of two ways: You can show your photo proof to a staff member at the Inc Cube building to receive a stamp (staff is available Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or wait until you've completed enough activities to earn a bingo and submit all your photo proof at once utilizing our online form.  

Return your Bingo card to the Inc Cube building or submit it via the online form to be entered to win a grand prize!  Play from May 31-June 29. The deadline to turn in boards is June 30.
