UNITED STATES CENSUS BUREAU

The Census Bureau annually conducts more than 130 surveys and censuses, providing high quality, consistent, and reliable data products for use by federal and local government decision makers as well as businesses. At the core of our data collection is the Field Representative. This flexible part-time position will have you connecting with families in their homes to collect data on various topics.  Our most successful Field Representatives enjoy meeting and speaking with new people, are self-motivated to meet their goals, and are comfortable operating basic technology. Field Representatives are hourly employees and usually work part-time hours, paid at the GS-4 pay rate (In Maricopa county that rate is $16.09 per hour for 2022, and 58.5 cents per mile driven on business).  The schedule and work locations of a field representative will depend on the survey they are working.  In most cases, survey interviews will require working during evening and weekend hours when most people are at home and available to answer questions. If you are a US Citizen, at least 18 years old, and willing to submit information to pass a background investigation, we encourage you to apply today!    To request an application by email, please provide your name, phone number and address to: [email protected].  To review the official Recruitment Bulletin:  Field Representative (census.gov)
