The City of Cameron welcomes new Public Works Director / City Engineer Eric Stevens.

Mr. Stevens comes to the City of Cameron from Houston, Texas. He is a licensed professional engineer with a Master of Science degree in civil and environmental engineering.

He brings approximately 27 years of experience, including both private sector and public sector work. Most recently, he came from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he managed infrastructure projects ranging from $50,000 to $2,500,000,000, delivering cost-effective solutions on schedule and within budget.

Mr. Stevens hit the ground running, beginning his work with the City this past week by developing a prioritization for infrastructure improvements to address some of the City’s most critical needs. He will manage the following departments: Streets, Airport, Solid Waste, Cemetery, and Facility Maintenance/Recycling.

Mark your calendars - In January 2023, the City is planning to host a Public Works Open House to discuss infrastructure questions and introduce residents to the new Public Works Director / City Engineer.
