CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Fire Department (CCFD) is responding to a call for mutual aid to help fight a brush fire south of the City limits. The fire, located near the intersection of County Road 43 and County Road 6, is in the Chapman Ranch area.

Fire officials say the fire is the result of a controlled burn that has moved outside of the controlled boundary lines. Currently, there are no structures in danger. The CCFD has several fire units at the scene.
