City of Encinitas And Sandag to Celebrate Completion of El Portal Undercrossing

Encinitas, CA - The City of Encinitas, in partnership with the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), will celebrate the completion of the El Portal Undercrossing on Sunday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m.
The El Portal Undercrossing is a new pedestrian and cyclist rail undercrossing near El Portal Street in Old Encinitas. The project provides a safe, legal path from N. Coast Highway 101 and Vulcan Avenue in Leucadia. Construction for the project began mid-December 2020.

When:  Sunday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m. Media will have the opportunity to interview the project team and get a closer look at the El Portal Undercrossing at 8 a.m. The speaking program will begin at 10 a.m.
Where: 10 a.m. – Lower level of the El Portal Undercrossing on N. Coast Highway 101
