EVANSTON, IL - The Evanston Arts Council is seeking nominations for the annual Mayor’s Awards for the Arts, which recognize and honor artists and arts organizations who have made significant contributions to the arts in Evanston. 

To nominate an Evanston artist or arts organization, community members should submit the individual or organization’s name and up to 500 words on why they are deserving of the award to [email protected] by noon on Friday, October 28.

Mayor Daniel Biss will present the awards during the “A Bright Night for the Arts” event, scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 19, at 6 p.m. at Studio5, 1938 Dempster St.

A Bright Night for the Arts is a celebration of the arts in Evanston. This fun, free event is open to the entire community, and all are welcome. Registration information to come.
