The City of Fairfield announces the return of the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony, located in Downtown Fairfield. The event will take place on Friday, December 2, and begin at 6 p.m. The Christmas tree will be on Texas Street, between the blocks of Union Avenue and Madison Street. Mayor Harry Price will light the tree at 6:30 p.m.

Festivities following the lighting ceremony include musical performances, a trackless train, hot cocoa, and more! Frozen sisters Elsa and Anna will attend, as well as Santa for photos with children. Legendary Letters will be open to help kids write their letters to Santa Claus.

Residents are welcome to stroll the downtown area to listen to carolers, appreciate the downtown business window displays, and visit merchants’ open houses.
