POLICE DEPARTMENT BICYCLE PROGRAM
City Council approved a few additional purchases for the Police Department for the current fiscal year. $21,000 was set aside for the purchase of four police bicycles, certification for the officers, and additional uniforms/ gear. These will help with patrolling events where vehicles cannot easily access the venue as well as provide more presence in the community park. In addition, after the current police staffing study is complete, additional staffing may be necessary that will amend next year’s budget and would likely include the current detention area.
