Subject-matter experts about different aspects of the SURF!, including environmental, economic, and equity benefits, and MST’s larger vision for transit priorities in Monterey County will be available to answer questions.

Open House: SURF! Busway and Bus Rapid Transit Project
Join us at Carpenter’s Union Hall, 910 2nd Ave., Marina
Wednesday, August 31st from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

SURF! includes a 6-mile bus-only route from Marina to Sand City and Seaside along the underutilized and publicly owned rail corridor and integration with existing transit lines, allowing riders to get where they need to go throughout the Monterey Peninsula, Salinas, the Salinas Valley, and beyond. The project will give transit riders a faster trip, reduce traffic congestion, provide three new safe and convenient transit stops including a mobility hub, improve bicycle and pedestrian trails, and improve traffic flow.

Visit the SURF! Community Input Hub for additional details and to submit feedback about the project using interactive tools.
