City of Ontario Updates

City Council Meetings

Regularly scheduled City Council Meetings are held at 6:30 PM on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.

Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 303 E. B Street. Meetings are broadcasted LIVE on OntarioTV and our local cable Channel 3.

Ontario Water Conservation Plan – Stage 2

On February 1, 2022, the Ontario City Council implemented Stage 2 of the City's Water Conservation Plan. 

At this time, residents are limited to watering between the hours of 4:00 PM and 9:00 AM but not limited to the number of days per week they can water. If and when the City is required to move to Stage 3 of the Water Conservation Plan, watering will be limited to four (4) days per week.

The City of Ontario Municipal Utilities Company provides water conservation programs and resources to promote water use efficiency, and encourages you to do your part in helping us conserve water. Every Drop Counts.

Water Conservation Rebates and Programs

Are you curious about the programs available to help you use water more efficiently? Ontario residents and businesses can participate in one of our programs or apply for a rebate. Summer Concert Series Continues!

The 25th Annual Summer Concert Series is every Wednesday through August 3 at Ontario Town Square (224 N. Euclid Avenue). The fun will continue on Thursdays, August 11-25, at Celebration Park North (4980 S. Celebration Avenue). There is a great line-up of live music planned for the community to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you there!

Join us on Fridays for Movies in the Park!

The Annual Movies in the Park continues on Fridays through the month of July at Ontario Town Square (224 N. Euclid Avenue). Bring your lawn chair or blanket and join us for a fun, family movie each week!

Ontario Festival of the Arts – Call for Artists

The City of Ontario’s Community Life & Culture Agency, the Ontario Museum of History & Art and the Chaffey Community Museum of Art are excited to announce the Fourth Annual Ontario Festival of the Arts to be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10 AM – 5 PM. The Festival exemplifies the City’s commitment to make Ontario the destination for arts and culture in Southern California.

This one-day event will feature a comprehensive scope of visual arts. Here are some highlights to expect at the event:

-Local Artists to display and sell their art

-FREE Museum Exhibitions

-Food Trucks

-Beer Garden

Weekly Farmers Market at Ontario Town Square

The Farmers Market is every Sunday at Ontario Town Square from 9 AM to 1 PM, rain or shine. Vendors will be on-site with local fresh produce from Certified Farmers plus Artisans with soap, candles, and hand-crafted items. Also honey, nuts, eggs and packaged food. Click here for more information

Upcoming Yard Sale Dates – August 5, 6, & 7

The next citywide yard sale event is Friday, August 5 through Sunday, August 7. Yard sales will only be permitted one-weekend of each quarter during the year. Yard sales are not allowed at any other time of the year. Yard sale permits are NOT required for these events!

If rainy weather conditions exist on either Friday or Saturday of the designated weekend, garage or yard sales may be conducted on the following consecutive Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For additional information, please contact the Community Improvement Department at (909) 395-2007. 

Ontario Art Walk – August 20

The arts come out at night during the tri monthly Ontario Art Walk!

The next Ontario Art Walk will be held on on Saturday, August 20 from 6 PM – 9 PM. Enjoy the evening with art exhibitions, pop-up galleries, artist talks, creative workshops, live music and arts events sponsored by local artists, performers, organizations and businesses in the Downtown Ontario Arts District.

Ontario Military Banner Program

The Military Banner Program was created to honor and recognize military personnel who are currently serving on active duty in the United States Armed Forces that reside in or have immediate family living here in the City of Ontario. 

The City of Ontario is currently seeking the names of military personnel who are currently serving on active duty in the United States Armed Forces.

Names that are submitted to the City of Ontario will be considered for placement on street banners displayed throughout the City. There is no cost to the honoree or the applicant for this program.
