Envisioning Ontario’s Future

During the recent approval by the City Council of an operationally balanced budget for Fiscal Year 2022-23, the City of Ontario has identified approximately $1.2 billion in unfunded infrastructure and neighborhood improvement projects to support critical components of our City’s services. This includes enhancements to public safety, emergency response, local drinking water supplies, traffic congestion, affordable housing and homelessness abatement, and much more.

City Council Meetings

Regularly scheduled City Council Meetings are held at 6:30 PM on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.

Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 303 E. B Street. Meetings are broadcasted LIVE on OntarioTV and our local cable Channel 3.

Ontario Water Conservation Plan – Stage 2

On February 1, 2022, the Ontario City Council implemented Stage 2 of the City's Water Conservation Plan. 

At this time, residents are limited to watering between the hours of 4:00 PM and 9:00 AM but not limited to the number of days per week they can water. If and when the City is required to move to Stage 3 of the Water Conservation Plan, watering will be limited to four (4) days per week.

The City of Ontario Municipal Utilities Company provides water conservation programs and resources to promote water use efficiency, and encourages you to do your part in helping us conserve water. Every Drop Counts.

Municipal Utilities Customer Service Center Temporary Closure

Starting Monday, June 13, 2022 through Friday, July 8, 2022 the Municipal Utilities Customer Service Center (located at 1333 S. Bon View Avenue) will be temporarily closed to walk-ins due to construction. It will be open for business by phone. Payments can be made online or through the automated phone system. Cash payments can be made at Walmart. 

The Customer Service Center will re-open on Monday, July 11, 2022.

Summer Concert Series is Back!

The Ontario Recreation & Community Services Department is pleased to announce the 25th Annual Summer Concert Series at Ontario Town Square (224 N. Euclid Avenue) and Celebration Park North (4980 S. Celebration Avenue). There is a great line-up of live music planned for the community to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you there!

Movies in the Park Series is Back!

The Ontario Recreation & Community Services Department is pleased to announce the Annual Movies in the Park on Fridays during the months of June and July at Ontario Town Square (224 N. Euclid Avenue). Bring your lawn chair or blanket and join us for a fun, family movie each week!

Exhibit Opening – Then & Now: Women Artists of the Pomona Valley | June 2 - September 4

Join the Ontario Museum of History & Art at the opening of their current exhibition: Creating a New Legacy | Then & Now: Women Artists of the Pomona Valley. The exhibition features contemporary women artists from the Pomona Valley who have established a footprint in the area while working as teachers, professionals, and mentors. This collection of people is a mixture of emerging artists and established creatives who are exploring a range of topics and display artwork in a variety of styles and media. 

Join the Ontario Museum of History & Art for the Community Reception on Saturday, June 11 from 4 PM - 7 PM. 

Reception activities:

-Print your own Creating a New Legacy limited-edition design with Skool Boiz in a live screen-printing session! The Audience is encouraged to bring their own apparel to print. Limited T-shirts and totes are available. 

-Mujeres Market is coming to Ontario! Mujeres Market (MM) is a community based pop-up market featuring women of color, queer and transgender creators, and artists of color. The first 25 guests receive a free goodie bag!

-Make Art! Join local illustrator, Beatriz Frank and make your own art inspired by the artists in Creating a New Legacy.

All Fireworks are Prohibited in Ontario

All fireworks are prohibited in Ontario, including the Safe and Sane fireworks. You may not sell, buy, transport, store, or use fireworks in the City of Ontario.

Please help keep our community safe and free from all fireworks. Those caught with illegal fireworks will be subject to a $1,000 fine, citation and/or arrest; including confiscation of all illegal fireworks.

Independence Day Celebration – July 4

The City of Ontario is proud to host several events in honor of America’s Independence Day on Monday, July 4.

The Independence Day Parade will begin at 9 AM followed by a Fourth of July Concert with The Ontario/Chaffey Community Show Band at Ontario Town Square (approximately 10:30 AM) and the All-States Picnic along the Euclid Avenue median (approximately 10:30 AM). Bring Your Own Picnic and join in the tradition!

Continue the celebration at the Fireworks Spectacular with family fun and festivities at Westwind Park (2455 E. Riverside Drive) from 5 PM – 9 PM. Enjoy live entertainment, games, and food vendors. The Fireworks Spectacular will begin at 9 PM.

Ontario Military Banner Program

The Ontario Military Banner Program was first launched and maintained by the Ontario Business Council. It was established to honor and recognize active duty military personnel that reside in, or have immediate family living in the City of Ontario. The City is proud to carry on the program and honor those who are serving in our military.

The City of Ontario is currently seeking the names of military personnel who are currently serving on active duty in the United States Armed Forces. Names that are submitted to the City of Ontario will be considered for placement on street banners displayed throughout the City.
