The Mayor and City Council of Ontario, California are pleased to announce the 2023 State of the City, to be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the Ontario Convention Center. This annual event is attended by representatives of the business, development, real estate investment, education, and volunteer/non-profit communities. Leaders from all over Southern California will gather to hear more on what makes the City of Ontario the premier city in the Inland Empire and network with the region’s top deal makers.

Bring your used oil filters for up to a $12 oil filter voucher!  Drain oil filters 12 hours before dropping off. Transport in non-leaking container or bag.  Two vouchers for used oil filters per household. Voucher valid only at 1860 S. Euclid Avenue, Ontario CA 91762.  No exchange or cash refund after event.

This program is offered through the City of Ontario Integrated Waste Department and funded by CalRecycle. Proof of residency is required. Bring a picture I.D. or utility bill.

March 12, 2023 - Daylight Saving Time Starts

And – Reminder to Change the Batteries in your Fire Alarms!

Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 2:00 AM. On Saturday evening (March 11), our clocks need to “spring forward” one hour. 

Also, take the time to change the batteries in life saving devices like smoke detectors and carbon monoxide monitors. To learn more about being ready for emergencies, visit OntarioCA.gov/ReadyOntario.

FREE Emergency Training! City of Ontario CERT

The City of Ontario’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training is a program that prepares you to help yourself, your family, and your neighbors in the event of a disaster. During a major incident, emergency service personnel will not be able to reach everyone immediately. By getting training in CERT, you will have the skills to help emergency responders save lives and protect property.

CERT groups are known and trusted resources to emergency responders and their communities and as a member of CERT, you may respond to disasters, participate in drills, exercises, and city events. You must attend all modules to complete the course.

TIME: 6 PM - 9 PM

WHERE: ONTARIO FIRE TRAINING CENTER

FOR: ANYONE AGES 16 AND OLDER

Regularly scheduled City Council Meetings are held at 6:30 PM on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.

Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 303 E. B Street. Meetings are broadcasted LIVE on OntarioTV and our local cable Channel 3.

The City of Ontario is accepting applications from residents who want to serve on the City's Boards & Commissions. These community-based Board and Commissions recommend actions for consideration to City Council and play a vital role in bringing citizen input on important City issues.

Applications are being accepted through March 31, 2023. After this date, the City Clerk's office will continue to accept applications for consideration throughout the year. Applications are kept on file for 2 years after submittal.
