Mayor Nieves Riedel and Newly Elected Council Members Step into New Leadership Roles

San Luis, Arizona - this week, The City of San Luis welcomed Mayor Nieves Riedel and its newly elected Council Members Maria Cecilia Cruz, Tadeo Azael De La Hoya, and Javier Vargas into the San Luis City Council.

Mayor Nieves Riedel was formally sworn in on November 28th, 2022, after winning the 2022 Primary Elections in August. The Following morning, Council Member Maria Cecilia Cruz, Council Member Tadeo Azael De La Hoya, and Council Member Javier Vargas took their Oath of Office.

"My top priority right now is our residents, community members, and visitors' safety and well being," stated Mayor Nieves Riedel. "I look forward to being your Mayor".

Mayor Nieves Riedel, a successful businesswoman in South Yuma County, has been a resident of San Luis, Arizona, for over 20 years. She has helped over 3,000 families in our community become homeowners through her construction company she started with her late husband more than 30 years ago.
