STOCKTON, Calif. – Community members are encouraged to join City of Stockton officials for a dedication and celebration of recent upgrades to Stribley Park sports fields, Thursday, October 20, 2022, 6:00 p.m. New lighting has enhanced the existing sports fields that are used year-round for a variety of recreational activities, including youth softball, baseball, football and soccer, and adult baseball. Please plan to join us at home plate. The celebration will kick-off on the west baseball diamond at 502 Della St.

“Stribley Park is a very popular park in south Stockton that has been in need of lighting improvements for a number of years,” shared Vice Mayor Christina Fugazi. “The new lights will improve public safety and allow teams to continue to use the fields well into the evening. It is a great investment and huge improvement for those who enjoy the park for sporting activities and the neighborhood. We look forward to celebrating with the community.” Limited parking is available at the Stribley Community Center, located next to the sports fields, at 1760 E.
