The City of Sturgeon is accepting applications for a full-time position in our maintenance department.  It is preferred that the applicant have a DS1 water license from the Missoouri Department of Natural Resources, or be able to obtain the license at citiy expense within one year of hire.  Must be willing to sign an agreement to work for the city for a minimum of one year, after having obtained the DS1 license.  Other desirable qualities are; street repair knowledge, general maintenance knowledge and the ability to complete/learn other duties as assigned.  Maintenance workers are subject to being on call after hours week days and weekends.  On call situation are eligible for overtime compensation.  Background check, drug testing and clear motor vehicle record required.  Starting salary is $18.50 per hour with the possibility of future annual pay raise consideration based on job performance.
