Well above normal temperatures will persist across Southeast Texas today. A majority of the area is expected to see peak heat index values greater than 108 degrees, so a Heat Advisory is in effect. Ensure that you are taking the proper precautions to protect yourself, family, pets, and property. Check out these tips for staying safe during periods of extreme heat.

ERCOT Issues Conservation Appeal

As extreme hot weather continues driving record power demand across Texas, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) is issuing a Conservation Appeal for Wednesday, July 13 between 2-8 p.m. ERCOT is asking Texans and businesses to voluntarily conserve electricity during this time.
