City Of Victoria News City And Partners break ground On Dog Park With In Riverside Park

Lee Keeling participate in a ceremonial groundbreaking hosted by the City’s Parks & Recreation department Dec. 7 at the future site of the dog park in Riverside Park. The dog park is scheduled to open in May 2023. The project is funded through the Victoria Sales Tax Development Corporation and through funds raised by Izzy Drane and Girl Scout Troop #9565.

PHOTO #2: Alex Drane, father of Girl Scout Izzy Drane, speaks at the City of Victoria’s groundbreaking ceremony Dec. 7 at the future site of the dog park in Riverside Park. Izzy, who passed away this year, partnered with the City of Victoria on the project and raised funds for dog agility equipment within the dog park as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project.
