NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT TO FILL VACANCY
FOR WILLIS CITY COUNCIL POSITION

The City of Willis, Montgomery County, Texas is inviting interested citizens residing in the City to apply for the vacancy of City Council Member, Position No. 3.  The City Council will be considering the appointment to fill the vacancy at its meeting on July 19, 2022.  The person appointed to the position will serve for the balance of the term which ends after the City election of city council members on May 6, 2023.

To be eligible for public elective office, a person must be a United States citizen, be 18 years of  age or older, be qualified to vote in the City of Willis, be a resident of the State of Texas continuously for at least 12 months and be a resident of the City of Willis continuously for at least 6 months.

Please submit your application for appointment to the vacant city council position to the City Secretary no later than 4:00pm on July 14, 2022 at the Willis City Hall, 200 N. Bell Street, Willis, Texas 77378.
