City Offers Water Aerobics And Aqua Jogging For Adults

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department will offer two fitness classes this summer at its year-round pools from June 1 to September 2. Participants are not required to know how to swim for these classes, but it is preferred.

The Aqua Jogging Class for adults ages 18 and older will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. (2 classes per week for a total of 8 classes) at the Corpus Christi Natatorium, 3202 Cabaniss Parkway. Participants will wear float belts as the instructor guides the class through the exercises.

The Water Aerobics Class for adults ages 18 and older will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. (2 classes per week for a total of 8 classes) at Collier Pool, 3801 Harris Drive. The class will be held in waist-level water and led by a certified instructor.

The sessions for the Aqua Jogging and Water Aerobics classes will be offered as follows:

Session 1: June 1 to June 30
Session 2: July 5 to July 29
Session 3: August 2 to September 2.
Doing aerobics and jogging in a pool are excellent low-impact exercises designed to improve muscle tone, and flexibility, strengthen your core, and build endurance. Let the resistance of the water work with you to achieve your fitness goals.

Registration is open now and will close the Thursday before each class session starts. Register Online at https://register.ccparkandrec.com/. The fee for each session is only $35 per person per month.
