The City of Bentonville Engineering Department is conducting a Public Feedback Meeting to discuss the proposed drainage and street construction projects listed below. The public is invited to ask questions, view plans, and provide comments. Time: 4:30pm to 6:00pm

Date: Wednesday, June 29th 2022 

The following projects will be available for comment, with Engineering Department staff available to answer any questions. 

Drainage Projects: 

SE C Lateral

This project shall include a drainage collection system beginning on SE B St, North of SE 6th St, heading North and continuing East through the alleyway between SE B St and SE C St for 215 feet, then heading North on SE C St for 825 feet until the intersection of SE C St and SE 3 rd St. This project will include drainage improvements to improve the quality of drainage runoff in the area as necessary. 

NW 4th and D St

This project is to determine best alignment to reduce yard flooding between NW C St to NW D Street and NW 4th Street to NW 3rd Street by conveying stormwater via enclosed drainage system and/or open channel to the existing detention basin. 

SW 2nd and O St

This project is to install pipe to collect water from the highway that is currently flooding homes

along O St. 

Street Projects: 

E Battlefield Boulevard - E Central Ave. to Water Tower Rd.

The project consists of improving approximately 3,850 feet of E Battlefield Boulevard between E Central Avenue and Water Tower Road into a three-lane roadway with pedestrian/bicycle facilities. The project does not include intersection improvements at Central Avenue nor at Water Tower Road. The existing bridge across I-49 would be widened on both sides to provide pedestrian side paths on both sides of the bridge. 

Tiger Boulevard Overpass - McCollum Dr. to NE Grammercy Rd.

The project consists of extending Tiger Boulevard approximately 0.61 miles from McCollum Drive eastward over I-49 via a bridge overpass to tie into NE Grammercy Road. The proposed Tiger Boulevard will be four lanes with a raised center median and pedestrian/bicycle facilities.
