ELIZABETH ATTERBURY: ORACLE BONES

Elizabeth Atterbury's installation Oracle Bones features vibrant geometric prints using chine collé and embossment, textured monochrome reliefs in raked mortar, and wood and stone sculptures that enlarge objects of personal significance.

This installation closes this Sunday, January 21...hurry in to get your last look!

PROJECT SNOWSHOE

The Clark’s campus is the ideal setting for a snowshoe adventure! Visit the equipment rack near the Manton Research Center and borrow a pair of snowshoes to discover the beauty of our campus in winter.

Take pictures, share them with #clarkart, and leave us a note in the snowshoe journal (look inside the desk on the side of the rack) to tell us about your snow trek!

Snowshoes come in both adult and children's sizes and are first-come, first-serve.

Enjoy a new look at old favorites in the Clark’s permanent collection! Second-year graduate student Joanna Garcia leads a closer discussion about Carleton E. Watkins's El Capitan, 3600 ft. Yosemite, featured in the Clark's 50 Years and Forward: Works on Paper Acquisitions exhibition, on view through March 10, 2024.

Discussion—and lively debate—encouraged.

THE MET: LIVE IN HD—CARMEN

Acclaimed director Carrie Cracknell brings a vital new production of one of opera’s most enduringly powerful works, reinvigorating the classic story with a staging that moves the action to the modern day.

Mezzo-soprano Aigul Akhmetshina leads a powerhouse quartet of stars in the volatile title role, alongside tenor Piotr Becza?a as Carmen’s troubled lover Don?José, soprano Angel Blue as the loyal Micaëla, and bass-baritone Kyle Ketelsen as the swaggering Escamillo. Daniele Rustioni conducts Georges Bizet’s heart-pounding score.

Tickets $25 ($22 members, $18 students, $5 children 15 and under). Advance registration encouraged; capacity is limited. More information.
