WE’RE OPEN ON INDIGENOUS PEOPLES' DAY!
MONDAY, OCTOBER 9, 10 AM–5 PM

If you’re in the Berkshires for this holiday weekend, include a visit to the Clark on your itinerary. We are open from 10 am–5 pm. Celebrate the autumnal beauty of our trails, forest, and meadows as we pay tribute to and acknowledge the Mohican people on whose ancestral homelands the Clark is situated.

There's plenty to do at the Clark—scroll below to see a list of our weekend activities to add to your plans!

EDVARD MUNCH: TREMBLING EARTH

LAST CHANCE!
CLOSING SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15

"Edvard Munch wasn’t the first to use landscape as a mirror to the soul. But has anyone ever done it so vividly, and with such conviction?" —The Boston Globe

One of the most critically acclaimed exhibitions of the summer is about to end and will move on to the Museum Barberini in Potsdam, Germany.

See this revelatory exhibition before it closes at the Clark on October 15.

SENSING NATURE AT THE CLARK: FROM THE OUTSIDE IN
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2 PM

Clark educators lead a slow engagement with nature and art, focused on enhancing wellbeing. Connect deeply with the landscapes on the Clark’s campus and in the galleries.

Free. More information. Advance registration encouraged; recommended for adult audiences. To register, email [email protected].

Held rain or shine; extreme weather cancels the event.

MISSION HOUSE MUSEUM TALK: HEALING WITHIN THE COMMUNITY

MONDAY, OCTOBER 9, 11 AM
MISSION HOUSE MUSEUM, STOCKBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS

Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the Stockbridge-Munsee Community’s Tribal Historic Preservation Office presents a workshop led by Kim Hoffman, a descendant of the Stockbridge-Munsee Community. In this workshop, Hoffman explores staying connected to creation through compassion and tribal healing modalities.

The event is part of the Stockbridge-Munsee Community’s exhibit, “Our Lands, Our Home, Our Heart,” currently on view at the Mission House Museum and sponsored, in part, by the Clark. The Stockbridge-Munsee are the Indigenous people of the Berkshires.

Free. Advance registration through the Mission House Museum required; capacity is limited. Inclement weather moves the event indoors. More information.
