In 1927 the Swift River Valley was home to four towns and over 2000 people. Twelve years later the Quabbin Reservoir began to fill with water. How was the valley transformed? This presentation will focus on the process of clearing and the history of some of the families and individuals affected.

Presented by Maria Beiter-Tucker, Quabbin Visitor Center Manager.
